Titel: Item creation question
Beitrag von: Dextolen am 23. August 2013, 14:50:37
If I wanted to embed a spell into a weapon that only activated the spell on attack immersieg, would it lower the cost from the typical spell cost x 3 model in item creation?

So it's only triggered on 5% of all attacks?
What about the Cooldown?

Judgement call, I'd say, also depending on the spell in question.

CK is right, a spell activation on a natural 1 might bypass long cooldown timers, so you should consider increasing the price. On the other hand, it is chance-based and will come up only so often, so the price should reflect this fact as well. The price for ignoring cooldown period twice a day (price of the spell x 5) would be my template of choice for this.

In this case the spell desired was Hurl. (10 round cooldown).

If the Cooldown is ignored (round one natural 1, round natural 2) it should be more expensive, but if the Cooldown is still in effect AND no self-triggering, only on a natural twenty it should be reduced (but I think only 5% - like the chance of a natural 1 - of the costs would be to cheap).

I may go with the hammer getting to Hurl an opponent every 10 rounds and not utilize the only on mmersieg part

Then it's hammer + normal hurl?

But you want automatic triggering?

Correct, as per spell
